Painting that looks real

Dear all, I am glad to share with you these astonishing pieces of art. When I saw them for the first time I could not believe they are paintings, I really thought they are photos. I was looking at them for about an hour. I watched the images and I could not say a word. I felt like hundreds of ants run on my skin. And I was thinking how good it would be such a beauty to embellish my room. I think all of us would like to have such a painting on their walls.

I have to recognise that I do not am not a skilled in painting, but these paintings can not leave indifferent even a novice in this domain. Moreover, it is so exciting to watch how these great artists work with care and patience.

I am convinced that there are a lot of great artists like those mentioned above. Please leave a comment with their names, paintings. I will be very grateful to you.

Christmas lights

Hello Dear All!

As you observe, I continue posting articles about decorating the house for this beautiful holiday CHRISTMAS, which is my fovorite. Today I decided to talk about Christmas lights.
We are accustomed to decorate around the house with Christmas lights  but inside we use them to decorate only Christmas tree . Christmas lights are very beautiful accessories, the advantage is that they are not very expensive. They make a room feel cozy and romantic, make our homes so energized and magical.
There are no doubts that Christmas lights give your home a special charm. Due to them, home looks warmer and slightly enclosed.
I think adding them into your bedroom is a good choice. They will create a super romantic atmosphere. Lights can be added in any bedroom in the house: in the master bedroom, in a guest room, children’s bedrooms, in bachelor pad or even in dorm room.
Don't put them in the bathroom! When I searched for some photos on "Christmas lights" I found some where people put them in the bathroom. Don't forget that that this space is often steamed because of this it is very dangerous, especially if there are children in the house.
Why not to put Christmas light in the kitchen? I thinks it's also a good choice. Imagine how it look when turn of the light and on the kitchet table are some candles, beatiful wine glasses that reflect the light from candles and Christmas lights. Isn't it beautiful?

There are many different ways they can be incorporated in different rooms:

  • they can be placed around a mirror
  • along the ceiling
  • around a window
  • on drapes
  • on balusters
  • around the bed

There are some images to get inspired to decorate your own house for the holidays with string lights, take a look through this images. Do not forget that they can be used to decorate for the holiday season, but they can also stay up all year round if they fit in with your decor. Let us know what you think/what ideas do you have...

Christmas decorating ideas

Christmas is almost here. Therefore, today I offer you some tips on how to give your house an awesome Christmas look. On this holiday my favorite thing is the decoration process. I think it sets the mood for this joyful time of the year. Therefore, enjoy Christmas décor!!!

First of all think about colors. Choose three colors for your holiday palette. Using too many colors can be too distracting.

Of course, the most popular and the most important element of this holiday is Christmas Tree . Start decorating your Christmas tree from the basics (hang the lights, string the garland and add pretty ornaments). Add some jingle bells to your tree to get the sounds of the season.

White Christmas tree always reminds about icy winter days. Those who prefer this kind of Christmas tree should know that decorating it with silver or golden garlands will make your house look very exquisite and elegant. But if you want a brighter Christmas tree then decorate it with colorful elements for example green globes, red, blue, purple etc. But don’t use dark decoration on white tree, especially black! It looks dramatically!

Christmas candles are always part of our celebration. They are inevitable part of Christmas décor. Candles provide warm atmosphere of peace quiet perfect to make unforgettable Christmas. Nothing makes a room feel warmer and more inviting than candlelight.

Don’t forget about scented candles near your entry and throughout your house.

Use the same style for your holiday decorating as your entire house. It will make your home “professionally finished”.

Decorating for Christmas don’t forget about some particular places like a mantel, doors and windows.

So the next post will be about windows décor for Christmas Day!

              Merry Christmas,

                        Doina!

Baby room

Safety should be your primary concern. Therefore think about these tips all the way through the design process.

  • If you have a choice between several rooms in your house for the nursery, choose the one that is closest to yours so that you don't have to walk across the house in the middle of the night.

  • It is recommended to put the crib close to the entrance in order to avoid different incident (tripping over toys for example) when you enter in baby room in the middle of the night. But don’t put it near the window. Remember! It is very important not to let your baby to sleep with his head near the door. Psychologists say that your child must have visual contact with the door. The child should see who enter in their room, unless he would feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

  • The slats of the crib must be vertical, unless your baby might use the slats for climbing out. Pay attention to the space between slats! If the space between slats is big the baby can get his or her head stuck.

  • Do not place any shelving above the crib, because the things on the shelves might fall onto the crib.

  • Consider your budget. Of course, everyone wants the best for their children. He’s a child and you have to get used to the spots on the carpet, with drawings on the walls and so on... Because of this it is not necessary to buy expensive wallpaper, carpets etc. in baby room. You should focus on buying things that are first of all functional, beautiful secondly.

  • Drapes are inevitable things in baby's room, because they protect the baby from bright light during sleep. But it is not necessary to hang black drape or dark one. Make sure that drape covers entire window.

  • Cover any electrical outlets with plastic fasteners as a safety precaution.

  • Don’t forget about decorating the ceiling. Your baby will spend a lot of time on his or her back, looking at the ceiling. Be sure not to hang anything from the ceiling that could fall and hurt the baby.

  • When it comes to choosing a color for your baby’s nursery, keep in mind these things: the brighter the color the more energy your baby will have. You can still use vibrant, dark and light colors, just in moderation, such as accessories.

                                               Till the next time,

                                                                       Doina
